Ah Mian & I went to town y'day hoping to find present for Hanzie boy, max, chai, cutie! So we went there at 5. Not to forget the super long gossip session we had with Joel on the way! Oh my! So fun!
So start time : 5.00pm. End time : 10.00pm. Walking Orchard for 5 hours! I think thats a record! Lido to Wisma to Taka to Paragon to Heerin to Espirit to Cine to Taka again. Wisma and our last sweet stop - Borders!
It was a hell of a time! Temped to buy so many things but end of the month - low in cash! I wish I could be working now! I keep telling myself - slowly Pooja slowly!
We bought everything on the To Buy list! Great! Yippee!
But on second thought I forgot about cutie altogether, though I know if I tried, I would have found it, so I consider that job done!
Oh I got a new way to write my To Shop list! Start it backwards! Begin from 10..9..8.. so that I will write down only a limited things unlike the horrifying 28 things I have on my post its! Help me!

Being in AC as a sconer was a different experience altogether! Something that will stay with me all my life! My wonderful class!
How I remember those days - Si Mian being called Quala Bear, Su ai annoyed with Zhi Wei, the Brotherhood, Sam's novel in which I happily volunteered to be El Shah - Warrior Princess (albeit he hasnt completed it), Michael's quirkiness, Ben's wonderfully exotic language, April - the goodie girl, doing the guy's nails! And there are lots! Perhaps some day Ill write a reflection! For now Ill just post some pictures!
Oh but hang on I almost forgot to explain whats it all about! It's our initiation into the Scone family! We are welcomed with eggs, syrup of all kinds, fish sauce, oil, noodles, fish in the guys pants, meat scrubs, rice, tooth paste by our loving seniors! Made to to silly acts until our seniors are pleased and made to shout our class SC1 aka scone! So there.... as juniors its the most annying experience of our life we think - but as you grow u realise how it is used to bring all our inflated ego's down, how its used to set an example, to builld comradrie, to build friendships, to break the barriers of coming from different schools! Ah now I sound all so pepped up for school! Well thats what it is - a Tradition we love to pass down!

Tutoring a primary school kid! For MATH! Numbers, quiet boy, sailing, weird handwriting, shy, cute - its quite a mix! A completely refershing one!
Not to mention the first time I had to go there! I must admit Audrey - your sense of direction, unbeatable! *bow* I go there in the rain, get wet in the rain because I refuse to carry an umbrella, only to realise that I have to walk in the backward direction! I am utterly delighted I got thru the "Journey" aka mini tour of Singapre, in time for the boy to just feel drowzy! And taught him ascending and descending nos!
Anyway! I am so glad! Not because I can siphon the money for shopping but because I can reimburse.. hmm myself for the piano lesson I pay for!
What joy it would have the money to be spent at my discretion! Though paying for the piano lesson was not a forced choice! But Im sure you know what I am implying!

I woke up on sunday morning feeling really homesick! Im using a taboo word! Sorry mumz!
So I decided to join Yuehan and his friend Yings for wakeboarding! And hoping to reach harbour front in time to grab lunch, I decidede to flag a cab!
The metre showed S$ 6.00 and I kept wondering to myself "Why is it so expensive to go harbourfront from South Bouna Vista Road?", "Why is the cab on the expressway showing an exit to clemenseu ave. From the little that I know of Singapore Roads, I knew there was a goof up somewhere! So I called Yuehan! That man really held onto his ticking patience and said - It's HARBOURFRONT not HOUGANG my dear trying very hard to mentally figure out the similarity in the enunciation tho he was positive there wasnt any!
So there! I reached harbourfront with a cab fare of S$14! What an expensive Sunday morning! But oh well, was treated to lunch! There are some kind souls who still exist!

This yesr was different! Subtle and special, meaningful and soulful! A time to reflect, a time to smile, a time to be thankful!
10th Jan
8:00 am - Arrival to where else!
9:00 - 9:15 - Getting soaked the rain (Mind you with my luggage)
10:00 - 2:00 - Settling in! Thank you so much Hanzie baby! If not for you I would have crashed!
4:00 - Go out to eat eat eat eat!
April visited at night! Oh I forgot going to holland v to wish Wei Min a very happy birthday!
I really didnt want to be up bringing in my bday!
So there, I thought to myself. What a day it has been! Usually I will start celebrating a night before!
Midnight *Tring Tring*. Undoubtedly my parents! Always the first one to wish me! It was a joy to hear their voice!
I heard voices outside my door! Half way into wonderland, I woke up slugglishly to find Zhi Han, Joachim, Siva, Wei Min, David, Cutie singing happy birthday at my door! It was such a delightful surprise! *Smiles*
School was until afternoon and I had a Green B'day cake to cut! *WoW*
Spent the evening with Yuehan indulging in some really yummy food! The dessert! It was uttterly exquisite! Rainbow Rainforest! Mango, Pineapple and Blackcurrent Sorbet in Vanilla icecream topped with fruits and cranberry sauce! Utterly delicious!
Oh well it rained that night! Really really hard! But it was just very pleasant being with people who meant a lot to me and without whom this special day wont be special!
Surprises are nice! Whether they are a box of choc conveyed with all warm wishes from Italy or a fantastic postcard! Have a look here!
