Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.
Why do stars fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.
On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

it took me a few seconds to type the title.. but i have no content.. perhaps sub conciously i do want to say something but I havent had the heart to put it out forth right! Europe to me was - WOW..I had always imagined it be this picturesque place 9822634566 00447837007189...00442089546449.. okie im going to leave this number for the time being! .. so yup picture perfect.. seen in a nice little frame with golden borders on all the sides! unfortunately its not so! Colosseum is not this gladiator stadium in the middle of no where.. nothing like this rock solid ginormous structure standing in a desserted area that spells out te word ruins! it has people, buskers, cars, buildings.. a normal city life! Somehow whil packing, while waiting in queue for my visas when i browsed through all the booklets I seemed to minus the city part of each country save london - which explains why london impressed my so much.. But.. I have learnt to just leave my expectations behind and seize the moment.. carpedien ha? shouldnt that be my title! I was thinking of adding a new blog.. I could write about my travel escapades - that somehow sounds wrong.. or my disillusion of this world corrected! haha.. And an idea pops

Trevi fountain is a marvellous piece of art work! But my one track mind could focus on the GELATO! Yes sorbet sorbet! I've had so many of them yet I crave for them right now! Mango, Berry and Chocolate! Wow..twisted right! Being Indian is a bonus here! THe ice cream parlour 'uncle' gave me an extra boule (scoop) just cuz Im Indian! - Ooooo im lovin' yet.. okie ive been since morning waiting for my father's call!.. blog later.. zhi min going to invite me to her blog!

Preparation : one month of endless visa application - hostel bookings, zillion phonecalls, letters galore (think ive mastered the art of writing formal letters now)packing x 2, unpacking x 1, two flights - from india and from singapore.. and i think ive arrived.. London was splendid... Knightsbridge, Harrods, Leicester Square, Big Ben - these pronouns that kept resonating all these years from shopping bags, friends' travel experiences suddenly turned into impressive momuments... it was a joy being in London - Id say it superceeded my expectations.. Easy to Navigate, Paradise to shop, Musicals for your viewing pleasure and friends (so that pubs dont run out of business).. London was a pckage deal... though i spent only 3 days there.. but honestly every single moment was so worth it! True to the core - class, art, culture - not to mixed up with vanity and boredom mind you! haha.. i am definitely going back to Londona and perhaps if time permits... I do want to go visit dear April in York! France was promising from all the lonely planet episodes.. but truth be told I was disappointed to discover that its just overly romanticized.. or perhaps a reality check.. if I had 200 euros to spare per day france would have been fantabulous! Nonetheless making my penny's worth - the visit to the Sommet (top of the Eiffel Tower) was the cherry to my Europe experiences so far - description - edible, satiable (or insatiable).. the entire city of Paris comes alive! glitz and glamoury! I felt alive there - at the zenneth of one of the seven wonders of the world - bliss is what i felt. It was chilly oh my I would have frozen up there had it not been our rush to catch the last RER (train) from the Champs De Tour Effiel station! Nice or Cannes.. I visited one of them.. guess which one? Yes dumb wit me.. preferred stony beaches over the Cannes film festivial at the sandy shores! Oh but what the hel! The warm sunshine with the chilly wind was invigourating! Roma! put on your best clothes.. here I am..

Woke up feeling stiff and grogy! But realized that apek was coming over to cook! (I wish I hadn’t come up with that brilliant idea). So I pranked her to remind her! Our challenge for the day – making crepes! Crepes just kept buzzing in my head ever since I described it to my mom. I couldn’t possibly wait for another 14 days to have a sumptuous feast. So I decided to venture into the world of cooking – bad decision again. And tried to make some myself! The cutting strawberry part was easy and fun! Making the batter was a horrendous job! I was almost certain in my conviction – cooking and I are too extremes! Well surprisingly the custard turned out the right taste but the wrong consistency! Sigh! But what really spoilt it all was the stoopid chocolate ice cream. Well Poona lacks the delicious movenpick – so I had to settle was “Kwality” ice cream – hazardous mistake. Nonetheless when something is sweet, it cant go that wrong. Apek, Yash and I had mini ones to ourselves! The afternoon went by slow – just catching up with Apek and listening to her academic plans. I think she’s embarking on the rather challenging task of taking numerous rather countless entrance exams, perhaps more than the number of exams I take in my entire medical career! Haha! I had offered to go to the club to settle all the uni stuff for Apek but landed up sleeping instead! Sloth that I am! Golf : 6.30. Distance hit : 150 yards! Outcome : Pooja felt so happy! I had a girls night out – I don’t know of singular or plural is apt for the occasion if appropriate for the moment! Tullika and I have been friends for wait I almost lost the count – 5 years.. but I only got talking to her last year after a much unwanted silence! And she sits pretty on all the hoardings in Pune! I wish I can upload a picture of her! Well often when I forget to text her back, I see her pictures and there – a wonderful reminder! “MSG TULLI” It was really fun dining at Arthur’s theme! What was odd was the glare we got from everyone. I am sure no one mistook us for not being straight! But what could two hot girls possibly be doing alone on a Saturday night! Oh did I mention, I finally met Karun! And oh my he has pecs – though they look ugly! Well I certainly hope he is not still at me! Pity I didn’t take the initiative before! Came home at an odd hour that day/night?! Slept and slept and slept…

I think if I were a kid, I would have taken “grounded” punishments rather well! I’ve been home for a week and a half or quarter perhaps and I don’t feel the need to hang out with my friends or go out! I am happy being at home doing something or the other! I felt that this is rather novice, but after having read unblogged aka censored messages, I realized I do that every holiday. I have a a never ending list of “to meet”, “to call”, “to msg” people but I never get around to doing it unless I am given a certain push. And if the push doesn’t come, I don’t think I will land up doing it! Strange right? Oh well that’s meet. Some call me a social butterfly but I am ahmm I don’t know I cant find a word. Perhaps to steal it from Siva, a social caterpillar!

I have a strong affinity for these kind of sports. Badminton, Tennis, Squash! I’ve liked them all. And recently its been Golf! Yup, after months of being talked into, my parents finally succeeded in making my join this sport! And I must say it’s a sport. Not a game for the retired! Well its been three lessons now and oh boy, its fun! Though its got my blisters on my palm (too bad I cant hold your hand – To my mom.. haha what were you thinking). The clubs are quite heavy and the posture is tiresome. But when you swing and the ball lift off the tee and travels a prefect intended trajectory – it’s the best feeling! I feel I am actually getting my physics right though I cant really understand how holding a club in a non square position causes it to deviate through a certain angle. And I don’t want to know! I am happy making sure I hit the ball hard! Yay – I am going to buy a nice cap to wear! I felt like such a kid wearing shorts when people actually dress up for this sport! Oh but what the hell – its so so so hot!

First was the consecutive visit to east coast and now consecutive visit to Clarke Quay! Not that I fancy the two places or don’t get enough of it! But ah well just a pattern I observed! Went for the ACJC play ‘Tempest” at Singapore Repertoire Theatre on Friday with Yuehan and his friend! It was a joy watching the juniors deliver a brilliant performance. At the same time it made me miss all those endless and tiring rehearsals that brought a strange kind of satisfaction! We walked rather aimlessly to discover that we’ve reached the heart of nightlife area – Clarke Quay – it is really bustling with party lights, glitz and glam façade people so easily take on! But I was with Yuehan, hence still the quietness of the evening. It was sufficient for us to eat an ice cream and walk by the dazzle of evening content with just admiring it! Oh well – suit yourself. That is what I once told him. So I guess I had to support his anti clubbing sentiments this time around! I had a farewell dinner (I didn’t intend it to be one). Brenda and I, after faithfully having dwelled in the library everyday has decided to treat ourselves to a great dinner after exams. To execute the plan before I leave for India, I msged people to meet at Boat Quay, saying something like! Hey guys – I am leaving for India. It’ll be great if all of us could meet for dinner today! at blah blah.. And surprisingly people took as farewell! I’ve had so many farewell from both parties – Indian and Singaporean that I’ve almost lost count! Oh well we walked to Clarke Quay then and seated ourselves at Haggen Das! Sinfully Stimulating! Christine, Brenda and myself settled for something made of apple I am not too sure what – but it was a delight! Raymond and David had Venetian love for themselves – they looked rather deprived, hence the love! And of course we had some brookback mountain scenes! I think they were overflowing with the love after the chocolate high! Thank you my beloved KE7 medics for the delightful evening! Hope I can stay next year – keeping my fingers crossed!

Seems rather strange that after not having been to the beach for 6 months I land up going there on two consecutive days! I’ve taken a strange liking to the east coast though I still maintain my stand about east being rather unhappening – no offense easters!
Well on Thursday Kenrick, Siva, Dedrick, Joel and I went to bowl at east coast! Being the only girl among the pro bowlers, I had a rather difficult start but nonetheless it was rather invigourating! I got my first spare but wasted it with a nil pin in the next round! Sigh – I was just thinking – how wonderful it will be to go bowling on a weekly basis! It is a fantastic stress buster! After bowling we decided to indulge in some good food at city hall! Authentic Indian food! Ill award it ***! And free sweets! Haha! Ask me to write a review about the movie Keeping Mum – Ill sum it up in one word! SLOW! I don’t know why we decided to watch it but oh well it ended on a rather high note with the a few glamour shots – courtesy 1/5th Dr. Kenrick Tham!
The following day landed up being another beach day – thought the previous was not really beaching out (it was just a brief wait for Kenrick and Dedrick)! Cycle with the girls! The 7 power puff girls! Daryl, Zhi Min, Nita, Sau Yee, Velda – me making a guest appearance in their popular undertakings – this time being teaching Zhi Min how to ride a bike! Two hours of cycling, sugarcane juice, monkey business – nah no what u think – this one was really climbing trees, sitting by the break waters! It was a pleasant start to the day! I really admire the inordinate amount of chirpiness and zest these RJ girls possess – kudos to the power puff girls!
